Adaro Tours South Africa, 8 day, Wildlife tour

I have had many requests for a tour that would be mostly about Africa's wild animals in their natural habitat. I have studied the possibilities and the attached Itinerary as well as the accompanying photos will give you a very good idea what the tour will be like. This tour will be available by mid November 2011 and will depart with a minimum of six passengers.

The tour would start in Johannesburg and for practical reasons our first night will be in Johannesburg or Pretoria. Depending the arrival of flights a tour of some historical buildings in Pretoria will be included on the first day.

Day two will start with a drive to the Bela Bela district were we will visit the De Wildt Cheetah Conservation Project, here you will be able to come into close contact with these fantastic big Cats, and also see some other wildlife in their Park, we have spotted Giraffe, Impala Rhino and many more. Our arrival at Mabula lodge is planned for around lunchtime. There will be around two hours to relax before be go on a afternoon and early evening Game drive to search for Elephants, Zebra and Buffalo. Dinner after the Game Drive will be in the form of a traditional braai (barbecue).

Day three starts with a game drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast. We drive towards Ohrigstad via Burgers fort were we will overnight at Hanna Lodge, The Property is a private game park and you have a late afternoon game drive or to just relax around the pool. Dinner at the Restaurant is really good.

Day four starts with a two hour walk in the park, or if you so choose go on a game drive. After breakfast we will drive towards Hoedspruit, and stop at a huge Baobab tree (1800 years old) for a coffee stop and some photo's. We will enter The Greater Kruger National Park's Balule District through the Elephants West Gate, to a point, only 4x4 transport can go. Here we will be met and taken to our tented lodge in the middle of "no ware", all the time being part of a Game drive. After an early dinner we will go on a night safari to search for the nocturnal wildlife of the park, this will be done under the guidance of a professional field guide and a tracker.

Day five starts early before it gets to hot, for we will go on a three hour walk in the park, with a professional guide and tracker, in search of insects spiders scorpions and many other small and very interesting Fauna and Flora, and if we are lucky we may even see a Giraffe or two nearby. Breakfast or shall I say brunch where after you can relax or catch up on some lost sleep. Our Afternoon starts with a light snack before we depart on a sunset and early evening game drive. A traditional braai will follow, before we retire to our tents.

Day six is planned to be the Panorama Route that includes the "Green" Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Pot Holes, God,s Window Pilgrim's Rest (Historic Gold rush Town). We will arrive in the late afternoon at Sanbonani Lodge. we can relax until dinner.

Day seven is a full day Game drive in Kruger National Park in search of the animals that have eluded us until now, we will have a picnic lunch at one of the rest camps within the Park, before returning back to our lodge at about 16:30 to relax until dinner.

Day  eight will start with the long drive back to Johannesburg, in time for your flight back home.
